So… farewell!

Hello

This is my last post!  The class of English already nearing the end…
For that reason today I am going to write about my relation with English, in conclusion.

Well, I was studying English in the university for four semesters. The true is that my experience has been very diverse.  I had good enough teachers and bad enough, some very basic as others very advanced to teach. I was not just in ICEI, also was in FACSO at Universidad de Chile.

The blog that we had to write helped me to extend my vocabulary and I learned about the structure of this language, though the topics not always were amusing. Anyway, it was the first time that I was writing a blog and to learn this was interesting.

Still I have aspects of my English that I need to be improved. For example, continue expanding my vocabulary and to improve my listening and speaking. I think to study intensely during the last weeks of the year, helping myself with audios and exercises in English for to improve the phonetics of the language.

Outside the English class, I am using English quite often because I have to prepare for the final test enough I would like to have more time for this. Today, everyone´s exhausted and nobody has time (I just hope that the semester is over, please).

For me, to learn English is a goal many years ago because I want to travel all over the world and the English is the universal language. Also is great to speak other language.

                                                          So… farewell, my friends!!!

Changes, Changes!

Hello!

Today I´m going to be a critique of my career: journalism.
I´m studying with the old program. Exactly, this year the core curriculum changed. I don´t know why, but I guess that the subjects aren´t well-ordered. Now, the students have more journalistic subjects in the early years.

This way, they are going to be more prepared than we, to this height. Well, I cannot change this, but I would like it. Another thing that I would like that it was different is the length of studies. I think that five years is too long. We happen a lot of time with theoretical subjects.  Though I like them anyhow, I would like that these subjects were less. The career might end, probably, in four years.

Also I would wish that we could choose a way from before. For example, if I had a choice, I would not take a subject of investigative journalism. I would occupy these spaces to take more subjects of photography and audio-visual, because this is to what I want to devote. This would be much more useful for me. Or vice versa, to the partner who like more of the investigative journalism might aspire to more subjects as this one.

Finally, it is necessary to modernize more the career with the use of technologies, why not, in all the subjects. We are in the age of the digital and the visual communication. And also, the teachers should consider this to plan his classes.

I don't want anything else than that…

Summer holidays c:

Hi!

Today I have to speak to you on my vacations. The truth is that I don´t know if this will be possible. I have to work to have money. First, to pay the rental where I live. Then, I will see if I can travel.  But anyway, I plan to go to Valle del Elqui in the Region of Coquimbo in Chile. I hope to achieve it because the holidays are my reason of living during the rest of the year.

I love to escape for any side and usually my head is thinking about the past vacations, all the year round. My vacations always are cool and I can´t forget them. I love to be in touch with the nature. It makes me happy. But I would like that not only it happens in vacations :c   …I would like that the persons were not so slaves of the system. And that alone we existed to enjoy our lives. I believe that this it is the sense of why we are here.

Valle del Elqui

Well, as I said, I want to go to Valle del Elqui to know the beaches of this place. If all goes well, I will go with my boyfriend. Always we take little money and we stop in the road for if someone takes us. It's so much fun. Probably, I could travel anyhow. I don´t know. But what I know is that I will do everything I can to go.

The person that I admire: Tata- Cuco

Hello!

Today I am going to talk about the person that I admire.

A few months ago I had to write an interview for the university. Well, I am studying journalism.  Then, the work was consisting of interviewing one of our grandparents. They had to speak to us how it was the life before.

About this form I knew more to my grandfather "Peyuco" or Pedro Sandoval. I remember that when I was girl, I was referring to him as "Tata-Cuco". Though still I say to him this way… He is very young. He is 48 years old.  He is a carpenter and gardener in the city of Talca and he is a very simple person.

I admire it because since he was a 6-year-old child, it had a very hard life. And from this age that he is very brave. His family was his 10-year-old brother and his father who was working out of the city. Both children were remaining alone and had to cook, go to the school and to do everything possible for fighting against the poverty. He never had a toy to play.

"Peyuco"

He from small knew what means to work. His the first employment was to extract the pasture of the gardens of the neighbors. His life only was diminishing to the survival. My grandfather almost dies two times when child poisoned with bad food. When I think about this, I say : Good heavens!!  I could not have born if he was dying!

Because of it I thank him for having been so brave. Of some form I owe my life to him.

Studies of post degree?

Hello!

If you ask me about the idea of doing a study of post degree I will say to you that you are mad. Just  I want to go out of the university! (but still not at what I will be employed).  Also, to study a post degree is a madness because, as my English teacher says, to study in Chile is really expensive.

If it's free, I probably would do it. This one would be the only form of which I wanted to continue studying (but this is impossible). Well, but dreaming a bit, in this case I would study something related to the photography or the audio-visual thing.

If I could choose any thing in the world, I would like to join to workshops about arts, kitchen and agronomy. It seems that I would like to sell my own paintings, to sell my own food in a restaurant and to plant my food, beside filling with flowers and trees my garden. Oh! Also I would like to take a course to learn to sing.

Do not be. Only I wish a calm life after going out of the university. Since from girl I have had to follow educational programs that already are made. Now I would want to worry for my hobbies, or the things that more I like. Before dying. Because the life is very short. And I would not agree not to do what I want really.

Oh no! My future job?

I am studying journalism. It is easy to imagine a work for a journalist. They can be employed at the mass media, for example. But this isn´t so simple for me. I don’t want to enter the world of the mass media. Again. Because in the summer  I've been working on a television.

After this experience, I think to be employed at mass media is very exhausting. Then not that I will do! This situation has made me think about other alternatives for the journalist. Still I don´t have it clear but I like the photography and the audio-visual world.

I imagine that my future job will have to see with this. I think at the time that I will be gathering out material. I like to think that of this form I will not have to be enclosed in an office. Also, I it is probable that if I follow this way, I will be able to travel to look abroad for material and experience. I would like to go very much to all sides of the world.

I think that I am not worried by the salary that this work could give me. I know that is difficult to obtain wealths with the own creations. Until I become famous, thanks to them. Though this would not be bad.

MUSIC!

Hello ! today I ´m going to talk about my music

From always I have loved the music. I remember that I had a small red piano when I was around 8. In this time I just was playing with this one. Until my parents gave me a musical keyboard and I learned to play music with the help of a teacher. It is for this that the music that more I enjoy is the one that includes a piano. For example, Regina Spektor or Nora Jones.

This music to help me relax, but I enjoy also the blues, the rock and the psychodelic music. Otis Taylor, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Mungo Jerry, Tame Impala and Pink Floyd, are some of the singers that more I listen.

I love this music because it gives a lot of importance to the musical instruments. I´m accustomed to listen to this because it me transmits many flows of energy. But when I really I want to control my energy, I sit down with the crossed legs and I prepare myself to listen to sounds of tibetan bowls.

Generally the music comes to help me with my emotions. I like to flow with this one.

Sushi!

Hello! Today i am going to tell you about my favourite place to eat all over the world.

This place is “Sushi Roll” and every time I remember this restaurant I go crazy for it. But most of time I can’t go when I fell like it is, because this place is in Talca, the city where I was born, and now I am studing in Santiago. And as I write this, all I think is eating sushi.

But... why do I like this place so much?

Because they have the largest pieces of sushi that I know. The filling is delicious and plentiful, and the coverage is the crunchiest tempura I’ve seen. The prices are convenient. So many students go there, but lately, this place has become very popular among all ages.

I like so much this sushi that I avoid going to other sushi bars because I always end up dissapointed. For me, ain’t no better sushi in the world.

And now, I am hungry ...

My best holidays!

Hi!

Today I am going to tell you about the best holidays that I have had. This time was very amazing for me because it was the first time I travel by plane. I remember I wanted to land as soon as possible. I was very dizzy and I felt sick for to the trip. Now, I am not sure I again get on a plane.

But I was not alone.  This travel was very
special because I went with Nicolás, my boyfriend and we love the excursions. First, we landed in Calama but immediately I moved to San Pedro de Atacama. We wanted to know one of the most famous deserts in the world. Here, we rode bikes and we discover beautiful landscapes orange.  One afternoon we met a group of costumed people. They were dressed in many colors. They danced music from the north. This was beautiful!

Then, we crossed the border between Chile and Bolivia. We were in Bolivia! Here we met the Uyuni Salt Flats. Everything was very white and spacious. It´s was like being in the infinite! I remember that we took photos in this peculiar landscape.

Uyuni Salt Flats

In this country there are many lagoons and own landscapes of the altiplano. Later, we decided to explore the city and, among other cities, we arrived in Sucre, one of the most beautiful cities in Bolivia especially for its architecture. In this country I did not spend too much money. Food, accommodation, everything was very cheap! But the plane back waiting for us. We could only know south of Bolivia.

    Sucre

I hope to return and travel north of Bolivia the next time.

New Zealand

Yes, I say always that I love the mountains. But New Zealand consists of two islands. You are surrounded by sea! Still I can not decide if I like much more the mountains or the sea. but New Zealand have a both! I really wish to know this country. Is perfect for me!

Actually i live in Chile. And I have traveled the south of my country and I love its landscapes, its clear air and its nature. Here everthings is very green and lush. New Zealand is very similiar to this. The population lives mostly in the field and I dream to have my own ground to plant my own food.

In this country then peoples are happy. More than elsewhere. Because here you can earn enough money without working long hours. Also, the health and the education are quality and are not expensive. Here everyone gets the same benefits.

New Zealand. this country is located within countries with better quality of life for its population. For these reasons I thik that New Zealand can be a good place for my children.  Of course, in the future. This reality does not happen in Chile.

I hope out of college, working a couple of year (maximun two) to save money. I want to buy a ticket no return.
